It is currently the only Pokémon in the game to evolve with a Solid Stone.
Baawool shares some similarities with Guppish: they both have multiple possible Evolutions, they are both first-stage Pokémon, both Pokémon are given to the player for free in the main story (albeit Guppish being given as an Egg), and both Pokémon evolve into their evolved forms with the use of Evolutionary stones.
Baawool can be compared to Eevee, as both are Normal-types, both have a Gender Ratio of 87.5% Male and 12.5% Female, and both can evolve into multiple Pokémon with different Types. Additionally, Baawool and Eevee can both have Evolutions that are acquired through the use of Evolutionary stones.
It is one of the only 3 Pokemon in the game to evolve with an Ice Stone; the other 2 are Guppish and Subearo. Out of all of these 3, Subearo is the only one that evolves with an Ice Stone that isn't a part of a branched Evolutionary line.
Baawool and Merkid are the only Pokémon in the game with branched evolution lines.
In its old design, Baawool had different shading on its head, its woolly horns were shorter, its nose was bigger and its woolly ears were pointing straight and were bigger.
