Explonade was originally an Electric-type. It could be possible it was changed to be different enough from Electrode.
Furthermore, its Shiny coloration is also different from Electrode's; Explonade is lemon-lime, rather than blue like Electrode is.
Even so, Shiny Dynaball is blue, just like Voltorb and Electrode are.
Explonade was originally called Grenatric in the Demo.
Explonade has the highest base Attack of all Fire and Steel-types in Rikoto.
Prior to Version 1.0.1, Explonade uses Rapidash's cry.
In its old design, Explonade's pose was the same, but the red was a brighter shade, while the black was a grayish-green.
Origin[]
Explonade is based on a grenade and dynamite. It also likely takes inspiration from Electrode.
Name Origin[]
Explonade comes from Explode and grenade. Meanwhile, its old name, Grenatric, comes from Grenade and electric, referencing the fact it used to be an Electric-type.
