Roobeop is based on a kangaroo. It's red markings on it's legs and hands makes it look like that of a boxing gloves and pants which is what boxer fighters typically wear. It's spot around it's eye gives it's a slight bruised appearance. It also seems to be a reference to Hippety Hopper from Looney Tunes.
