Tapire is a Pokémon based on a tapir. Its body is mainly white; it has four short white legs with no toes, a short white tail, two white eyes with yellow irises and pupils with an angry expression, a white elephant-like nose and orange-red spots on its back. There are also a few short white hairs growing on its back.

For Shiny Tapire, the white gains some hot pink saturation, the spots turn hot pink and the irises turn blue.
