Trivia[]

  • In its old design, Tarexite had red bumps along its back, its tail also had red bumps but no tan stripes, its hands had no claws, it had only two thin black stripes at its chest, it had red around its eyes, which had pale yellow irises, and it had five red horns on its head; four at the top and one on its nose. This made it look a little bit like a Triceratops.
  • Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are canon fossil Pokémon that are also based on the Tyrannosaurus Rex. They also have Strong Jaw, but it's their regular Ability.
    • Also, Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are part Dragon-type, not part Fire-type like Rexite and Tarexite are.
  • Prior to Version 1.0.1, Tarexite uses Shieldon's cry.

Origin[]

Tarexite Old Sprite

Tarexite's Old Sprite 5.0

Tarexite is based on a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Name Origin[]

Tarexite's name comes from the words T-Rex and -ite, a suffix commonly used for names of stone ores. It could also be the word bite, referencing its Hidden Ability, Strong Jaw.
