Tortarock is a dual-type Rock/Ground Pokémon.

It evolves into Bouldoise starting at level 36.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Tortarock is a small Pokémon based on a tortoise. It has four light brown legs with three grayish-brown claws on each foot, a short light brown tail, a shell that's stone gray underneath, grayish-brown on top and green in the middle, and a light brown neck that leads to its light brown and green head that has two grayish-brown brows above its two white eyes with black pupils. Tortarock's shell somewhat resembles that of a Koopa Troopa's.

Gender Differences[]

None

Special Abilities[]

Tortarock's shell cracks if it is exposed to heat for too long; as such, they often dip their body in water to keep their shell healthy.

Behavior[]

Tortarock have fairly weak shells that crack if they're out in the sun for too long, so they often dip their body in water to keep their shell healthy and to prevent this from happening.

Habitat[]

Wild Tortarock are found in the grass on the Battle Bridge and on Route 9, and by using Rock Smash in Waytide City and on Route 9.

Shiny Coloration Differences[]

For Shiny Tortarock, the green turns orange, the light brown turns greenish-yellow, and the grayish-brown turns brown, albeit in a brighter shade than the brown on a regular Tortarock.
